"The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep." - Robert Frost
Species: Shiny Gardevoir
Gender: Male
Faction: Eden's Gardeners. Leader.[/ul]
"Fair flowers are not left standing along the wayside long." - German Proverb
Ability: Trace
Gift: Psy's gardening skills are obviously outstanding, especially considering that he's one of the few living things in the world that can grow blue roses, as they don't appear naturally in nature. With that said, Psy's skills in a garden can be considered a gift itself. He has the power to grow flowers with odd properties (such as colour) or even enhance their properties (larger and sharper rose thorns, more potent poison in other species). Is short, he can do a lot of stuff with flowers. It's likely a rather weak form of naturebending, but the gift can be used to... lethal possibilities.
Talents: Psy has all the normal abilities of a Gardevoir: emotion sensing, possible black hole if you piss him off, etc. Raised to be in contest, Psy has a flair for the beautiful, and is a master with his Magical Leaf attack. He's also pretty powerful, although rarely exhibits such talent. Powerful psychic stunts, such as region-wide teleporting, can be done by him. However, it usually takes more than an hour of Calm Mind, so he rarely bothers. Psy is, obviously, charismatic. Due to the amount of flower arranging he does, Psy's much more dexterous than a normal Gardevoir, and can easily handle objects with his floppy fingers. He's also skilled with throwing needles. And he rides a motorcycle (don't ask).
Attacks: Calm Mind, Magical Leaf, Psychic, Teleport, Hypnosis, Energy Ball, Grass Knot, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunderpunch[/ul]
"One of the most attractive things about the flowers is their beautiful reserve." - Henry David Thoreau
What separates Psy from other Gardevoir is his unique appearance. Rather than the soft green and white of normal Gardevoir, and their entire evolution family, Psy is sky blue and lavender with hints of orange. He's mostly lavender, purplish around the folds of his dress, but it's usually the pure blue that catches attention. Psy is blue around his arms, around the standard markings around his torso, and as said before, has blue hair. It's also blue under his dress (although pointing that out is probably awkward considering the context). The orange is seen on the protrusion on the chest area, which extends as a spike, slightly more similar to the spike of a Gallade's than a Gardevoir (hey, there are some gender differences), and also extends at the back, although very little. Psy's eyes, instead of being orange like a normal shiny Gardevoir's, are a very bright shade of blue: cyan, almost.
Due to the constant mistake of thinking Psy's a girl (which, by now, has become a memetic mutation), he wears a black biker jacket. He also carries stuff in the pocket, mostly his throwing needles, because they're useful. It is also common to see Psy with a blue rose of some sort on his person. They are his trademark, after all.[/ul]
"Flowers are restful to look at. They have neither emotions nor conflicts." - Sigmund Freud
Skipping all the goody-goody stuff that makes him seem too perfect, Psy's incredibly naive, crossing over denial at some points. No one is evil- just not quite right. And he gives himself the mission of fixing them. As one might understand, not everyone is fixable: people will live unhappily and angrily for the rest of their lives. Psy, however, doesn't appear to understand this. Everyone can be saved from hate and malice, and if anyone can do it, Psy can. The price of failure is normally heavy and treacherous, especially on Psy's mentality. The process usually goes from denial straight to misery and self-hate and then to rage, although it'll smooth out quickly enough, if only because Psy isn't the one to have others worrying about him.
Obviously, Psy's intentions are good. He has a soft spot for children, all kinds, and normally prefers their company than others. As far as Psy is concerned, children are so much nicer than adults: they don't have the need to be accepted as much as older beings do, and share his naivety (now, whether that's a good or a bad thing is entirely different). He can seem like a child himself at times, although Psy usually just gives off a fatherly vibe that can be easily trusted. However, no one is without their darker edges.
When not trying to look like a goddamn angel, Psy can be pretty snarky and cynical, which greatly overlaps with his naive side, making those who witness his quick change from angelic to sarcastic nature very confused. As an emotion senser, he has seen and felt everything the world has to offer: hate, love, sadness, joy, anger, but never quite experienced everything himself (allergic to love, possibly: you'd be too if you were a male Gardevoir). Too much drama normally causes Psy to breakdown a little, at which he quickly goes to the Fireworks Gang's leader to complain to.
Now, regarding his trainer... Psy never did like her, really, and she never did like him. Of course, as a Gardevoir, you can imagine how hard that must be, having to guard your trainer with your life and basically act as their shrink. Psy always put a lot of importance on this single fact. The fact that he consistently failed at protecting his trainer's mental health was a severe blow, and the major cause of his biting sarcasm and dull opinion of the world. It was also the cause for Psy's obsession with helping anyone that breathes because maybe if he helps everyone else, it'll make up for his utter failure. Of course, the failures are quickly stacking up, and Psy's quickly loosing his grasp on hope. To his complete terror, he's quickly becoming a lot like his original trainer, and the realization has not helped at all.[/ul]
"When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it's your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not." - Georgia O'Keeffe
What is known is that his past is closely related to the leader of the Fireworks Gang's leader. They both lived together with their own families and some humans in Mossdeep. When an odd, mutated form of Pokérus attacked Hoenn, it took down humans and Pokémon as well. Soon, there were three orphans left: a shiny Ralts, a shiny Torchic, and a young human girl. They were all sent to Littleroot Town to live with a friend of the human girl's family.
Later on, the group of three joined with another human girl to go on a journey through Hoenn. There were the two human girls, Maira and Naenia, Psy, and Fire-Chick (whose name would change every time she evolved, eventually becoming Fire-Bird years later). To be quite honest, Psy didn't quite enjoy this journey as much as the girls did. For the majority of it, he was fairly useless, being a crybaby Ralts who couldn't do any damage to opponents. Maira wasn't very pleased with this, although Naenia found Psy cute and all. The near constant and cranky Maira was Psy's trainer, however, so it was her say that normally meant anything.
Well, after the journey was over and done, Psy now a Kirlia, the now larger group went to Pacifidlog to rest, planning to go to Slateport and back to Littleroot. However, odd things happened, and not everyone survived some sort of attack. From here on, the group was split up.
Psy found himself in the Kanto region after escaping his kidnappers and ending up in Celadon City. He mostly survived on selling everything he could find until he landed a place at the gym and there learned about flowers. He had a natural talent for gardens, which he soon became respected for. However, he soon grew bored of it, and began digging around for his friends. Somehow, he also discovered his roots in a far off region untouched by humans. After this, he went on a journey to reassemble the group he traveled all of Hoenn with.
First, he found the Absol in the mountains of Hoenn's jungle. After finding the Altaria and Wailord, Psy went off to Sootopolis to find Fire-Wing, who by now was the leader of the Fireworks Gang. They left to find their trainer, who had become a fairly heartless, homeless... thing-human at the Battle Frontier. After this everyone went back to Sootopolis and started a Daycare. This continued until an odd man invited the group to an even odder land. Psy isn't allowed to speak of this, probably some rule of some sort, so we'll skip the details.
Well, to be quite blunt, the relationship between Psy and his trainer by now was completely screwed. When it became abusive, he left to hang out at an academy, but was quickly taken away by his original trainer. As one might expect, violence ensued, during which the Kirlia became a Gardevoir.
Well, that was years ago. Quite a few, really. With the disappearance and insanity of his original trainer, Psy's more or less free of her grasp, and lives fairly peacefully. He's normally pretty elusive and has the habit of disappearing for long periods of time, back to that strange region he's not quite allowed to talk about (it's law there, as he says). Otherwise, pretty normal life. At least the constant physical abuse is gone.[/ul]
