"Be ENTHUSIASTIC as a leader. You can't light a fire with a wet match!" - Anonymous
Species: Shiny Blaziken
Gender: Female
Faction: Fireworks Gang. Leader.[/ul]
"Fire is never a gentle master." - Proverb
Ability: Blaze
Gift: Despite her explosive personality and hyperactive childish-ness, Fire-Bird contains more self-control that most Pokémon believe. This is most visible in her attacks, which can take on many different forms. For example, her Solarbeam attack can split into two, or even multiple beams from different angles. Usually, the attack power does not become any stronger, but due to the different forms Fire-Bird's attacks may take, she's very unpredictable. Her skills range from keeping an attack from releasing its full power (forming an attack into a bomb) to turning it into a bowling ball because she feels like bowling, and many others
Talents: Speed is Fire-Bird's strongest asset, unlike most Blaziken, which are generally slower than the fully evolved forms of other fire-type starters. She's also very sneaky when she's not trying to have fun (cause havoc), and can disappear and reappear like a shadow if you're not looking. Fire-Bird is very acrobatic. Her flexibility rivals that of a circus performer, and she likes using unnecessary flips/somersaults. Her defenses, however, are poor, and surviving in battle basically boils down to, 'hit or miss'.
Attacks: Sunny Day, Solarbeam, Mirror Move, Dig, Flamethrower, Shadow Claw, Stone Edge, Thunderpunch, Low Kick, Focus Blast[/ul]
"Catch on fire with enthusiasm and people will come for miles to watch you burn." - John Wesley
Despite normal gender differences, Fire-Bird's mane of cloud coloured down is longer than a males, and the crest on her forehead is longer- on one side, that is. The right crest has snapped off, leaving a rugged point. Her behavior makes mistaking her for a male quite easy. She doesn't appear to mind, however: why care about a Blaziken being mistaken for a male when you could instead be making fun of a Gardevoir for being male? It's not quite her build that differences her from other Blaziken (other than the lack of height, mind), but the colour, which shouldn't be a surprise.
Fire-Bird is primarily a deep shade of crimson, almost entirely, except for a few gold coloured markings: these are found as a diamond on her stomach and spiky, flame-like markings around her legs, reaching to about the knee area. Her claws and the area of the arm reaching to her elbows, are a white colour, which is not normal on shiny Pokémon. This is also seen on the spikes behind her ankles and her feet, which are normally obscure anyways. The chalky colour is also seen in her mane, which is notably less stiff than usual, but still retains its shape. Her mane can be compared to human hair that has been applied with hair gel in its ability to retain its shape, although it's made out of extremely long, flexible feathers. Her mane is long at the front as well and not stiff at all, leading to Fire-Bird holding up her bangs with a Focus Band. The feathers still end up falling everywhere, but at least she's not completely blinded.[/ul]
"Dare to err and to dream. Deep meaning often lies in childish plays." - Johann Friedrich Von Schiller
Carefree and optimistic, Fire-Bird mostly lets life fly by her. She dislikes having to care about the 'serious' things in life. If the world doesn't want to slow down, they don't have to, but hell with rise if they try to make her give a damn. She views the world with vigor and excitement: everyday is a new adventure, and everyday should be shared with others, because it's called the present for a reason. She dislikes being alone and prefers crowds of friends. If everyone's busy, she'll settle for enemies. Fire-Bird just dislikes being alone, and can sometimes loose her cool if she's left alone for long periods of time. It's quite clingy, bordering on mental.
Due to her need for company, Fire-Bird enjoys playing pranks and doing ridiculous stunts for attention. These usually lead to various members of the Tsunami Gang attempting to drown her, but Fire-Bird doesn't appear to mind. They aren't the only ones who don't quite understand her need for company and friends, whether her 'friends' think she's their 'friend' at all. Her pranks are famous among the Pokémon of Sootopolis, and she enjoys it.
Despite her easygoing nature and apparent lack of duty, she leads the Fireworks Gang just fine (well, as fine as the Fireworks Gang's order ever is). Her cheeriness makes it hard to take her seriously most of the time, but she gives orders and punishments if it fits: just, you know, in a relaxed way. She makes sure punishments and duties are done, however, usually by simply watching. The power of thought usually plays a role in this: most of the Fireworks Gang are very wary of their leader's laid-back attitude, to the point of believing that there's something Fire-Bird's hiding. She very well might be.
In spite of her childish attitude, Fire-Bird has the ability to be caring. She's usually too busy giggling and making jokes to display such a side, however. After watching her friends fall apart over and over again for so many years, she's become quite good at calming tensions. Fire-Bird will also listen to the needs of others with patience: she's had quite a bit of experience after hearing the frustrated complaints/distressed cries of a certain Gardevoir/once Ralts she's know for, say, her entire life.
Enraging her, although very rare, is never a good idea. She has displayed, perhaps once, her fairly devastating tranquil fury. It is at these times that she starts going in physical, close combat as opposed to her normal strategy of keeping far away and attacking with long range attacks. Her Shadow Claw is known to be particularly powerful, but the exact reasons are unknown.[/ul]
"The world is not to be put in order; the world is order, incarnate. It is for us to harmonize with this order." - Henry Miller
Most of Fire-Bird's history is hard to understand, mostly because she avoids talking about it. What is known is that she lived in Mossdeep as a young Torchic with her family, the family of a young Ralts who was blue for who knows why, and the human girl's family. They died. Because of a virus-thing. And then the three go to Littleroot. Some other girl comes and they all go on a journey. They finished their journey. They go to Pacifidlog. They all get captured. Not everyone survives. Everyone's separated.
As a Combusken, Fire-Bird found herself in Orre. She was alone. Being alone for very long made her go a bit nuts. Shit happened. She got to Sootopolis and joined the Fireworks Gang, and eventually became their leader because everyone knew who she was and she had a powerful Sunny Day-Solarbeam combo which saved asses often.
After a bit of leadership, an Absol and shiny Kirlia came to take her back. She promised to return, and after the entire group was reassembled (Absol, shiny Kirlia, Altaria, Wailord, and the shiny Combusken herself. There used to be an Aggron, but he wasn't a survivor). They found their (by now insane) trainer and started digging around. A large chunk of Fire-Bird's past is obscured after, but she does come back to Sootopolis, now a Blaziken and ready to cause even more havoc.
A while ago, maybe a year or two ago, said trainer disappeared, abandoning the Daycare and her Pokémon. She ended up entrusting a random, Asian girl who's probably a lunatic to distribute the Pokémon she collected over the years. All that remains are two, and Fire-Bird will be damned if that number decreases any more.
... Obviously, Fire-Bird doesn't explain very well.[/ul][/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]
