call me: Makako
or alternatively: Makkie, Madeline/Maddie, Princess, Kid (only if you aren’t expendable/have a deathwish).
I am: a female Misdreavus
my allegiance: The Weird Kin
what I’m like:
Makako is, as her type would suggest, a very enigmatic Pokémon. For the majority of the time, she acts the part of a brash, energetic child, never stopping to think about the consequences of her actions. Most of these actions are aimed at simply having fun, usually at someone else’s expense. Makako has no problems with causing pain – in fact, it’s kinda what she lives for. If a ghost can be said to live, that is. The young ghost is in fact quite well known for her sadistic nature and love of causing mischief.
Sadism, of course, isn’t the only trait Makako carries, although it certainly has defined her over the years. The girl also possesses the notion that she is automatically superior to just about everyone, and an explosive temper. Mostly, those who can’t deal with the former bring out the latter in the childish specter. Makako doesn’t have much patience for anyone who would attempt to patronize her, preferring to deal with them the way she deals with most of the people who annoy her – a Shadow Ball to the face. Or gut. Whichever’s more convenient at the time. Thankfully, she also has an attention span the approximate size of a Sunkern – unless you really, really annoy her, she won’t hold a grudge. In fact, she’ll probably forget you within ten minutes.
Behind the layers of childish temper and mischievousness, though, there is a hidden side to Makako, and that is this: she is a lot older than her attitude would have most think. A lot older. So even though her youthful personality has remained intact throughout the years, occasionally it slips to reveal a wiser, more serious side – usually when she is particularly upset by something. While it doesn’t happen often, it’s worth noting that just because a Pokémon acts ridiculous and brash, doesn't mean she always is.
When it comes to dealing with others, Makako is…well, a confident, fearless little girl. No matter how big or intimidating a Pokémon is, she treats almost everyone as though she is their superior. Naturally, this has gotten her into trouble throughout the years, but despite the many times she’s been injured for her troubles, Makako has yet to learn her lesson about taking on those bigger than her. She also hasn’t made many friends with her attitude, either, although some respect her for her sheer lunacy. In order to be treated like Makako’s equal, one has to have earned her trust and proven oneself to be almost as mad as she is. Most Pokémon can’t be bothered.
I look like:
Like all Misdreavus, Makako is a small, limbless specter, a creature that vaguely resembles a floating human head. Her skin (if it can be named as such) is a dark bluish-green, soft and malleable; it has the property, common to most ghosts, of becoming intangible when necessary. In keeping with her humanlike features, wispy growths that resemble hair sweep behind Makako’s head, tipped with a darkish pink that contrasts quite a bit with the rest of her body. Oddly, streaks of brown are visible in these tips as well. The same brown is found in flecks in her bright crimson eyes, surrounded by saffron sclera, giving her spectral appearance something approaching normal about it.
The rest of Makako’s body consists of silken folds of skin, not unlike those that make up a Gardevoir’s dress, that form a rippling skirt-like growth. Separating body from head is both the most and least humanlike part of Makako’s appearance – a string of blood-red pearls of varying sizes (most too big to be actual pearls, but the resemblance is striking.) Although it looks very much like human jewellery, this accessory is used for far more than accentuating the colour of the girl’s eyes. The pearls have the ability to draw fear from other Pokémon and humans alike and transform it to something that nourishes the ghost. While she can eat normal food like any Pokémon, fear is Makako’s favourite meal.
what I’ve done:
Makako, as mentioned earlier, was born a long time ago. A long time ago. So long that she’s actually forgotten most of her childhood. She was born in Turnback Cave, the daughter of a Mismagius and a Banette that had long served Giratina. As a result, she also grew up serving the legendary Pokémon, a loyal follower (although perhaps not a particularly focused one.) Her father passed on fairly early in her life, and she considered Giratina a father figure – whether the great beast ever saw her as more than a pawn is up for debate. Still, she was treated well, and over the years became quite a powerful figure amongst the inhabitants of the cave.
While this is all very fascinating, the most important part of Makako’s history came about within seventy years of her existence. Giratina, exercising its power, had made a devil’s deal with a Ninetales, and suddenly Makako had a new job – mess with the newbie. Which she did, with great fervor. While it didn’t endear her to her new ‘friend’, Makako and Kinonant – the aforementioned Ninetales – would become the basis of a very, very strange group of Pokémon that together would do a lot of messing with humanity during its existence. Mika, the Froslass that terrorized a southern nation’s snowcapped peaks but still managed to function as a mother figure; Remy, a previously enslaved Banette who freed herself from captivity as a human gang’s experiment and was almost as mad as Makako herself; Zetsu, a shiny Sableye and Makako’s supposed servant who owed the girl his life; and Leon, who to this day swears he was never part of Makako’s brigade and only hung around because ‘such a pretty girl is wasted on a Sableye’. There was another, more recent addition, but she was a human – a dead one, yes, but human all the same – and her name is something Makako doesn’t care to recall. After all, humans aren’t meant to exist forever, and she left not too long after she arrived, taking the Ninetales with her.
After the human girl left, it was just Makako, Zetsu, Mika, and Remy (and Leon, who maintains that he still wasn’t involved with anything thankyouverymuch). Then Zetsu betrayed his ‘princess’ and left to follow a living trainer. Mika was still there, but she had no real desire to involve herself in the antics of the others, instead moping around an abandoned town and feeling sorry for herself. So that left Remy, Leon (who admits that by this point in proceedings he was actually a part of it), the human girl’s still-living Pokémon companion, and a very bored Makako.
Clearly the next logical course of action was to move to Sootopolis and start a guild. After all, she had heard there was some mischief to be made with the leader of the Fireworks Gang…
a special ability: Illusions – Makako distorts the air, creating pretty images of things that aren’t real. Or not so pretty. Depends on her mood really.
a not quite so special ability since all Misdreavus can do this: Levitate.
no hands, remember?: No hold item.
fear me!: Shadow Ball – Screech Confuse Ray – Mean Look Pain Split – Psybeam Curse – Perish Song Grudge – Payback
some other cool stuff I can do: -She can generally sense if there are any other ghosts in the area. -Because she spends a lot of time in the dark, she’s pretty good at seeing in it.

You're just in time, Torrie. =DD
You might wanna make the thread for Makkie's faction and ally it with the Fireworks Gang already. Anyways, accepted~ ♪. Nowgocausehavoc.
